TRANQUIL OFFERING
Daniel’s Kraal is a scenic 4 hour drive from Cape Town on the famous R62, considered as the world’s longest wine route connecting the East and the West of the country, or a 2 hour drive from the Garden Route.
Set between the Rooiberg mountains near Calitzdorp within a vast area of pristine succulent and fynbos landscape, bordering on Cape Nature Conservation, it is a place of solitude, serenity and barefoot luxury.
The Farm
The enchanting farmhouse dates back to 1836 and is a historic landmark. It is a working farm and is surrounded by wildlife, from troops of baboons, Klipspringer, Duiker, Cape Grysbok, Cape Leopard to Tortoises, a wide variety of birds and raptors.
ACTIVITIES
The lawns are covered in velvety grass and the order for the day is croquet, badminton, boules and endless swimming. Explorative walks, extensive views, and the outdoor living on offer intertwine to revitalize all the senses. Without any light pollution, the night sky under a vivid Milky Way is spectacular.
ACCOMMODATION
Experience rustic elegance at Daniel’s Kraal. The Farmhouse, ideal for families or intimate events, sleeps 8 adults and 2 children, with luxurious rooms and antique decor. For couples, the secluded Goose House Cottage features a hot tub, outdoor shower, and cozy interiors, set amid Klein Karoo’s natural beauty.
