A HOLIDAY LESS ORDINARY

We understand how it feels to be frazzled and burnt out, especially since the start of 2020. Everyone has been forced to adjust to this new way of life and it can be a juggling act. The joy of remote working is that at Danielskraal, we offer wide open spaces, fresh mountain air and even better, a good dollop of luxury. Why work at home and have cabin fever, when you can rejuvenate yourself in the middle of the Klein Karoo?

If you arrive exhausted, you’ll leave refreshed.

Quite simply we offer the simple things in life: Solitude, Serenity & Luxury.

We had the most relaxing time at the farm. Sandra and Rosh were a dream team and we couldn’t have asked for a more enchanting holiday. The kids swam all day, we had gorgeous afternoon naps to the sound of tinkling fountains, the husbands loved the mountain bike trails, we loved the sundowner spots and beautiful rose gardens. Even more, the attention to detail and quirky objects in the house were divine. We can’t wait to come back.

Danielskraal is understated and chic, the décor and interiors are to die for. We loved that is it so uncommercial and a secret hideaway away from the bright lights of the city

We spent 5 nights at Danielskraal and it was 5 nights too few. The house is ultra- comfortable, exquisitely decorated and fully stocked with everything and anything you need. You can choose to relax and do nothing or fill your days with farm walks, picnic’s, swims and boules on the lawn, either way everyone will be happy. The perfect spot for a family or friend getaway, I cannot wait to get back!

Danielskraal is a dreamy farm tucked away in the little Karoo dripping with glamour and romance from a bygone era. We leave this magical spot with our souls restored and our spirits revived, filled with wonderful memories of Juno, Juniper and midnight skies bursting with stars.

Thank you to the incredible superstar host, Rosh Posh, for opening up her tranquil space to us- heavenly! The rooms are comfortable spacious, decor outstanding, garden and views impeccable and the staff, prodigious. Star gazing next to the fire– a must do. Loved it and we will undoubtedly be visiting again.

TRANQUIL OFFERING

Danielskraal Farm is a scenic 4 hour drive from Cape Town. Set in Little Karoo perfection, it’s a place of solitude deep in the valley of the Calitzdorp mountains. The Farm is a continually evolving labour of love; the homestead itself is being brought up to date to offer a home with character and comfort.

THE FARM

The farmhouse itself is enchanting and dates back to 1836. It was restored by the current owners in 2010 and the house has been a private escape ever since.

ACTIVITIES

The lawns are covered in velvety grass and the order for the day is croquet, badminton,
boules and endless swimming.

ACCOMMODATION

It has been sensitively decorated and can accommodate 10 – 12 people. The rooms are luxurious without being pretentious, lots of linens, mohair and beautiful views.
